I’m a German living in the Silicon Valley, Bay Area, California, US.
Moving here changed my life.
Living in another country comes with a lot of problems, new difficult tasks, expectations, disillusions and misconceptions.
Living abroad also brings a lot of experiences, new friendships, development of your personality, language growth, job opportunities and an outsider’s perspective about your own culture.
I miss Ehrenfeld, Cologne, Germany, Europe.
I’m not only an expat but maybe an immigrant by now? And what’s the difference anyway?
Looking for a new project and a challenge I started writing this blog and I’m enjoying it tremendously.
Blogging about expat life, about travel and challenges with my intercultural life and identity brings me elation, clarity and I’m able to connect with other bloggers around the world and people in the same boat.
I wrote this post as part of the blogging university, day 1.
