Labor Day camping
It’s coming up. Like tomorrow. One of the biggest holidays weekends in the country. The official end of the summer for the Americans. Probably every single campsite in California is booked. Everyone who’ve missed booking a site in February or better right after Labor Day 2014 is still hoping for a cancellation.
We’re going camping with this big group of families from school for the third year now. Well, let me say it’s more like glamping. It’s one part of a RV Park in the proximities of Santa Cruz and you have Wifi! There is a Signup genius for the brunch on Saturday and a potluck dinner on Sunday night. Our kids absolutely love this weekend and although I keep procrastinating the packing, all the adults will have loads of fun, too. We’ll go for a run through the nearby State Park, a bike ride in the Santa Cruz Mountains, to the beach on Sunday and to the big O’Neill sale in Santa Cruz. And the various drinks we’ll start having for brunch Saturday morning will definitely add to that fun. Besides, camping in the US is probably the best camping anyway. You have huge sites, a table with attached benches, a fire pit and food storage boxes. And you can camp everywhere in the countless beautiful areas of this state. No one will ever be able to camp in each and everyone of these campgrounds. Be sure to book far in advance!
This camping trip is one of our truly american experiences and we wouldn’t miss it.
Happy Labor Day!
