Three Word Thursday #26
I’m linking up with Amanda from Running with Spoons. Hop over and check out other random thoughts.
1 First, I’m thinking about the victims of the Sandy Hook shooting five years ago. It still makes me feel sick to my stomach thinking about all the innocent children that had to die. Since then nothing has changed concerning the gun laws. We still have way too many mass shootings in this country. It makes me anxious and worried.
2 I can’t believe that the FCC has voted to dismantle the net neutrality. Hopefully the congress will step up to save the biggest free speech platform the world has ever known. Please consider to sign the petition at the ACLU website.
3 I’ve been quite busy the last few days. Work, the usual shit, a long blogpost, plus buying gifts for the loved ones on both sides of the Atlantic kept me working my ass off. We celebrated our little family Christmas on Sunday and my husband and I celebrated our 10-year anniversary. He wrote me the sweetest letter and we had a lovely dinner at Adega in San Jose. The Sangria sampler was great, but for my taste the love their chorizo and olive oil way too much. But now, the craziness comes to and end in about 5 hours we’ll be sitting on a plane to London and then Düsseldorf. I’m so excited to finally slow down and to dive into all the Christmas joy in Germany. Because trust me, the Germans know how to do Christmas.
4 Our last two good deeds today were to drop off a “Family Food Basket” at the Secord Harvest Food Bank and a Christmas card for our lovely mailman who’s been sick for the last months. He’s a great guy, always friendly and always up for a chat and we miss him a lot. I dropped the card off at my friend’s house and found this by her front door.
What a kind idea to provide candy for all the delivery people. She’s the sweetest and I will definitely copy her next year.
5 Lastly, we’re going to Germany for Christmas. Yes, tonight! Our plane will take off in 1 hour and 20 minutes. I’m having a Sauvignon Blanc at the airport and my girls will be staring on screens for the next 15 hours or so. I DO SO NOT CARE. Germany here we come! Happy holidays!
