Hello again! It is Monday, May 1st and I’m back to blogging! The last couple weeks I worked on my “new blog”.

After almost two years of writing this blog I had the desire to take my blogging a step further. In order to get more people to read and follow your blog, you can’t really ignore SEO tools. But on Wordpress.com where I originally started, you can’t install SEO or other plugins. The flexibility of how to design your blog is also very limited.
That’s why I decided to move my blog to wordpress.org. First, you haveto subscribe to a web host provider (I used bluehost.com). The problem is, that you have to know how to move your content from your original blog to the new site. And that is not as easy as people make you think it is.
I don’t want to bore you with too many details, but the whole process of moving the blog and creating the “new one” was way more work than anticipated and I could only do it with the help of some experts and some of my most supportive friends.

Have you heard about fiverr.com? It one of the biggest free lancing websites. You can hire people for all sorts of jobs and you can offer your special expertise as well. It’s easy, fast and effective. I had a great experience with seodpress and I can highly recommend using fiverr.
After a successful transfer of my content I purchased the WordPress Pro Service on mojomarketplace.com with a new blog theme included. They set up the new blog theme for me, but for the money I paid it wasn’t a great job. You have to customize everything yourself and if you don’t have a clue of html or CSS like I do, you have to roll up your sleeves and get to work.

Luckily there are a lot of great youtubers out there and after watching three other videos, I found a great channel for blogging. Thanks to Jakson and his video, I could finally figure out how to change the fonts in my new fancy blog theme. I’m not quite done yet and some fonts are still not the way I want them to be. But perfection is boring and I’m really proud and happy that I got to this point. Now I’m tired and just wanted to share my “new” blog with you, I hope you like it!
