Friday Link Love #3
Articles & Blogs
A German article about your intuition: Intuition: So vertraust du deiner inneren Vorahnung
11 things NOT to do in Germany
And OMG, that was weird: I clicked on the blog that I wanted to share with you, read a couple new posts and copied the URL. Then I returned to this window and wrote this without thinking about it:
Einer meiner treuesten Bloggerfreunde ist Pit aus Krefeld, der nun in Texas lebt und hier viele schöne Bilder aus seinem Leben und von seinen Reisen teilt. Schaut mal vorbei!
Which means: One of my most loyal blogger friends is Pit from Krefeld, Germany. He lives in Texas and shares lots of wonderful photographs of his life and travel adventure on his “Bilderbuch”. Check it out!
And yesterday, another, similarly funny thing happened to me. While waiting for my girls to finish their swim practice, I was translating stuff and while I was doing that, I was thinking the German article die but simultaneously typed the. It felt super strange! Seems like I finally have become a bilingual middle-aged woman, lol!
Fashion, Food & Photography
My favorite outfits for cycling and triathlon! Best motto and kits ever! #badassisbeautiful
My daughter and her friend made cupcakes today and they chose to dye the dough pink and purple. Fun!
They used this super easy cupcake recipe (without the chocolate chips) from Spruce.com. These are honestly some of the best cupcakes we ever made! Easy and quick to make, delicious and fluffy.
Finally, if you live in the San Jose area and are looking for a photographer, hence for someone to take some beautiful photographs of you, your fiancé, your baby, your family or just yourself, you should contact Tina Maciej Photography. Tina is a wonderful and cheerful woman from Mainz, Germany and took some great shots of myself last Wednesday at the Santa Teresa County Park. I don’t consider myself very photogenic, but Tina made my feel super comfortable in my own skin and I love the results. Here a couple samples, I won’t give them all away just yet. I will definitely book her again soon to have pictures taken of my girls. Thank you, Tina!
Travel
Moon travel guide books are published by Avalon Travel, which is located in Berkeley, California.
I was pleased to find this alternative to the common Lonely Planet buy.
They have lots of guide for the US, Canada but also all other continents and an interesting series of books called “Living Abroad in ….” and I clipped this 3-day itenary for next spring break.
Yoga
I like doing Yoga to stay relatively flexible and as an addition to my meditation routine. I found this Yoga channel on youtube and I like her practices a lot. My two favorites are the 20 minute Wake Up Yoga Flow and the Yoga Practice for Runners. It’s super effective and I like Esther’s voice and swedish accent a lot. I generally sympathize with all people who have an accent, ha!
40 more hours and we’ll be vacationing in Colorado!!
Happy Friday anyone!
