December Link Love

In my monthly link love I’m sharing articles, pictures, books and videos I’ve clipped during the last month. We were on vacation over Thanksgiving and I was busy doing nothing. That’s why this December Link Love is rather short. If you have a book or and interesting article you want to share, please comment! Thank you.

And yes, it is DECEMBER! The last month of the year. I can hardly believe it. It’s an old truth that time goes by faster the older you get, but it’s not easy to accept this reality when it is actually yourself getting older and feeling that clocks are ticking faster and faster.

Christmas

During the holiday season everyone is busy, but let’s not forget how we really want to spend our precious time and it is the most valuable gift we can give our children. #zeitschenken

The choir of the WDR 3 (a German radio station) made people stop and listen to a Christmas song last Sunday at the Cologne Central station. I ❤️ flashmobs and I would really like to experience one myself.

I’ve only read two books in November, but I loved them both.

A story about how a woman tries to make herself happier. Very simple and effective tips and an entertaining read. Not to mistake with Gretchen Rubin’s “The Happiness Project”.

Die Geschichte der Bienen/The History of Bees by Maja Lunde. Amazing!! Must read.

Our daughter will turn 14 in a bit more than 3 weeks! But even if you don’t have a teenage daughter, so should absolutely read this:

Costa Rica

We just got back from Costa Rica last Wednesday and it seems so much longer. We had a fantastic time in several places of this beautiful country. I can definitely recommend Costa Rica as travel destination. Here are some reasons why it is such a great place.

Our guide in Manuel Antonio National Park told us this hilarious story about a mistake made by Google Maps caused a conflict between Costa Rica and Nicaragua and apparently it was not the only time that Google Maps assigned territories wrongly.
