Thursday. It’s been a long day.
Teaching started at 8.30. Intermission: going for a short run with a dog and FaceTiming my daughter in Germany. She got a bad grade in her German exam, mostly due to spelling. But it also was a poem analysis and we talked about how the grade will not matter at all coming back here and that it is all about writing a German exam in Germany! I am still unbelievably proud of my 13-year old daughter who has been going to a Montessori gymnasium for the last three months. If she can do this, I am so excited about what else she will accomplish in life. Sometimes you gotta brag about your children, my apologies.
Since this has become the place to look back at better times on the exact same day, here are a couple of pictures of December 3rd, 2015, and 2017.
And behind the third door, you will find the recipe for my favorite quarantine drink: the dirty martini. (I never do it with a lime, I like it extra dirty.) Here you can find more of my favorite cocktails.
Cheers!
